April 15, 2005
Linda L. Fraley, Clermont County Auditor would like to remind all persons engaged in business in Clermont County that Friday, April 29, 2005, is the deadline for filing a 2005 Clermont County Personal Property Tax Return.
All persons engaged in business in Clermont County on January 1, 2004, holding an active charter or license from the Ohio Secretary of State, and having taxable personal property of at least $10,000, must file a return with the Clermont County Auditor. Previously, taxpayers owning personal property with a taxable value of less than $10,000 were required to file a return even though they would not owe any tax. Beginning in tax year 2004, all taxpayers having taxable personal property with a taxable value of less than $10,000, will no longer be required to file a return.
Ms. Fraley advises that anyone needing a Personal Property Tax Form or having any questions regarding the preparation of their return may contact the Auditor’s Office located in the Clermont County Administration Building, 101 E. Main Street, Batavia at (513) 732-7150. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional information may be obtained via the Personal Property portion of this Web site.
Any business requiring an extension to file its 2005 Personal Property Tax return may request an extension of up to 45 days. Requests may be mailed to the above noted address, faxed to (513) 732-8113 or emailed to ppextension@co.clermont.oh.us.
