Linda L. Fraley, Clermont County Auditor, has announced that the 2006 Personal Property Tax Forms were mailed out to local Clermont County businesses. Friday, April 28, 2006, is the deadline for filing a 2006 Clermont County Personal Property Tax Return.
All persons engaged in business in Clermont County on January 1, 2005, holding an active charter or license from the Ohio Secretary of State, and having taxable personal property of at least $10,000, must file a return with the Clermont County Auditor. Previously, taxpayers owning personal property with a taxable value of less than $10,000 were required to file a return even though they would not owe any tax. Beginning in tax year 2004, all taxpayers having taxable personal property with a taxable value of less than $10,000, are no longer required to file a return.
Ms. Fraley advises that anyone needing a Personal Property Tax Form or having any questions regarding the preparation of their return may contact the Auditor's Office located in the Clermont County Administration Building, 101 E. Main Street, Batavia at (513) 732-7150 or visit the Clermont County Auditor's Web site at www.clermontauditor.org. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
