Batavia, Ohio. Ohio Auditor Mary Taylor has presented the Clermont County Auditor's Office with the Making Your Tax Dollars Count Award for the fiscal year 2007 county audit. Fewer than five percent of all Ohio government agencies are eligible for this prestigious award. "The community should be proud of Clermont County's commitment to make sure that each tax dollar is spent appropriately," said Taylor.
"I am honored that our county has been selected to receive this award," said Clermont Auditor Linda Fraley. "Our office is dedicated to ensuring that each tax dollar is accounted for while maintaining a system that is transparent to citizens. I'd like to thank my staff for all their hard work and dedication that has led to this recognition."
To be considered for the award, counties must submit a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, have no findings or issues present in the audit report, and there must be no other financial concerns involving the entity.
