In accordance with ORC 5713.01, the Ohio Tax Commissioner has ordered the Clermont County Auditor to reappraise property in 2020. The 2020 Reappraisal has been completed and tentative values are now available.

Clermont County has nearly 95,000 separate parcels of real property. It is the duty of the Auditor to see that every parcel of land and the buildings thereon are fairly and uniformly appraised and assessed for tax purposes.

The Auditor is the statutory Secretary of the Board of Revision (ORC 5715.09) which also includes the county treasurer, county auditor, and a member of the board of county commissioners selected by the board of county commissioners shall constitute the county board of revision.

All owners of manufactured homes are required to register their home on DTE Form 41 with the County Auditor’s Office within 30 days after locating in Clermont County. Failure to do so can result in a $100.00 fine.

The purpose of transferring deeds through the Auditor is to maintain an accurate record of property ownership and parcel identification and to collect conveyance fees required by Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 319.20 and 322.02.

Ohio Revised Code Section (O.R.C.) 5323.02 requires an owner of residential rental property to file certain information with the county auditor in which the property is located.
